I’m Eric Anderson, a freelance website/graphic designer and multi-media artist currently based out of Green Bay, WI. Since a young age, I have been passionate about art and other visual mediums. I pursued this passion at Edgewood College in Madison where I graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Graphic Design. After graduating, I didn’t feel fulfilled as a designer. I continued my education at Northeast Wisconsin Technical College and received a Web Design Certificate. Through the additional graphic design courses I also enrolled in at NWTC, I was pleased with the improvement and growth in both the technical and creative aspects of design.
While at Edgewood, as part of my major, I took a handful of painting courses and found that I really loved that particular aspect of art. I had always been gifted at drawing but I had never explored painting before. Since graduation, I have been commissioned as a freelance artist using my skills in both painting and drawing.
I believe in an approach to design and art that engages the customer’s wishes and mission statement first and foremost. My work also must communicate the design’s objective in a clear and concise message, and leaves the customer with a unique experience when viewing my designs or pieces of artwork. While most designers work only in a digital world, I feel that my skills as a multi-media artist help me as a designer. This is specifically evident in the planning and sketching phases before I take designs to the computer where my technical skill is put to use. Above all, having an artistic eye helps in the judgment of a design.
Apart from being a designer and multi-media artist, I enjoy spending time with friends, going to concerts and sporting events and staying active as a runner.
