This painting was a student project where I was to create a scene using oil paints. I chose to paint a view of the Madison skyline with Lake Monona in the foreground from a photo I had taken from the shore of Olin Park. The centerpiece of the piece features the Wisconsin Capitol Building and just before it is the Monona Terrace. This was my first time painting with oils and the experience helped me advance as an artist.
